One of the hardiest Cycads around; the Sago 'Palm' brings a tropical look to any garden. Particularly popular in modern gardens this is a reliable plant that has been around since the time of the dinosaurs.
Origin: Japanese Ryukyu Islands.
Form and size: Solitary, often suckering with age. Eventually to over 3m but taking many years to reach such a height.
Position: Outdoors in semi-shaded position. Grows well in most coastal and temperate areas of New Zealand.
